A report can run on a time schedule, when data reloads, or after another report finishes. You can combine triggers on one report, so a daily schedule and a reload trigger can live side by side.
Time schedules
The visual cron builder covers hourly, daily, weekly and monthly schedules, with an Advanced mode for any cron expression. The panel shows the next run times in plain language before you save.
On a Qlik task reload
Tie a report to a Qlik Sense task and choose whether it fires when the task succeeds, fails or finishes. Numbers go out as soon as they are ready, not at a fixed time that hopes the reload is done.
After another report
Report chaining runs one report after another completes, for example a finance pack that should only go out after the sales pack.
Safe by default
- Missed runs are skipped. If the server was offline at 07:00, nobody gets Monday’s report on Tuesday afternoon.
- Debug mode sends to debug recipients only while you test.
- On Power BI, a schedule only activates once the report and its connection are validated, and an overlap policy decides what happens if a run is still going.
