KPImailer vs Qlik NPrinting

A lighter alternative to Qlik NPrinting.

KPImailer distributes personalised Qlik Sense reports by email without a separate NPrinting server. One installer, a visual email designer, and the same product for client-managed Qlik Sense and Qlik Cloud.

KPImailer is a Qlik NPrinting alternative for teams that want scheduled, personalised Qlik Sense reports with less infrastructure. It installs as a single Windows application and renders reports itself, with no NPrinting server, engine or designer to maintain.

Why teams look for an NPrinting alternative

  • Qlik Cloud. NPrinting works with QlikView and client-managed Qlik Sense. Teams moving to Qlik Cloud, or running both, want one tool for both environments.
  • Moving parts. An NPrinting deployment has its own server, engines and designer. KPImailer is one installer that brings its own database, scheduler and web app.
  • The email itself. Many managers never open the attachment. KPImailer puts the KPIs, charts and commentary in the email body, designed on a visual canvas.

When NPrinting may still be the better fit

If you run QlikView and need its reports in the same distribution tool, or you rely on NewsStand as a report hub, NPrinting covers that ground. Many organisations use KPImailer for the reports people read every day and keep existing tools for the rest.

How migration usually goes

  1. We review your most-used NPrinting reports together.
  2. You install the KPImailer trial next to NPrinting.
  3. Rebuild the first reports on the canvas and in Excel templates, and compare outputs.
  4. Switch recipients report by report.

Can KPImailer replace NPrinting?

For most report distribution jobs, yes. KPImailer covers scheduled and triggered sending, bursting, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF output and alerts. Talk to us about your current NPrinting reports and we will map them before you switch.

Does KPImailer need an NPrinting licence?

No. KPImailer produces its files itself and does not use NPrinting or a Qlik printing service.

Can we run KPImailer next to NPrinting during migration?

Yes. KPImailer is a separate installation, so both can run side by side while you move reports over.
